Other reasons to consider Healthy Paws over Embrace:

Other reasons to consider Healthy Paws over Embrace:

  1. Plans from Embrace have annual reimbursement limits of between $5,000 and $15,000. With a pet insurance plan from Healthy Paws, there are no limits on payouts per claim, per year, or for the lifetime of the policy.
  2. Embrace has a bilateral condition clause that says if there was a pre-existing bilateral condition, the other side won't be covered. This extends to any condition that might affect one side of the body including cataracts, patellar luxation, and more. The Healthy Paws plan has only one bilateral exclusion for cruciate ligament injuries.

Reasons to consider Embrace: Embrace may be a good choice for pet parents who travel internationally, as they cover claims outside the U.S. for up to six months. They also offer coverage for some dental procedures and some preventable conditions.
